Digg.com is the heckler's veto of the internet. The best part of a democracy (majority rule) is also its downfall. Because the majority is in control people who do not agree with the majority, though they may have good ideas, are ridiculed and cast aside. Anyway, I wonder how a democratic republic system would work on the web. Imagine if instead of voting on stories, users voted for the "editors." I would be interested in seeing that.
