Today I updated the RSS parser on Widgetnest. Works pretty well I must say. When we installed Magpie RSS (the old parser) we had to write some script to make sure everything worked well. Well, I had to go in to SimplePie RSS (the new parser) and tweak it as well so I don't know how much better it really is, except that it has a better interface as well as better encapsulation.
Speaking of interfaces and encapsulation, I never realized that I would appreciate those things when I was taking computer science classes, but now I have come to love what the terms stand for.
Also, why are both of the RSS parsers named "fooPie?" I mean, what does Pie have to do with RSS. Maybe I should read the FAQs.
