So, there is a new Beowulf Movie coming out. I am excited to see it but I am always amazed by the liberties taken on the story. From what I recall, there is a lot about the origins and greatness of Beowulf and the gifts he receives while the actual "battles" are short and swift by comparison. Obviously this doesn't make for a terrific movie script. Two minutes of battle followed by hours of celebration, gift giving, and singing heroes' songs would be boring to say the least. Anyway, I still plan on seeing this new one.
