So, to follow up on my last post, I want to explain some of the reasons why the site has undergone a redesign. First, I increasingly have been wanting to include code, pictures, and other content and the old form factor just didn't work for me as well as it used to. It has been more than a year after all (hooray!).
Second, I want to start using this blog as my home base. For a long time my portfolio site, lemieuxster.com, was that very thing, but now I want to make that be my portfolio/professional site and have this be where I share who I am, what I am interested in, and how to learn more about my interests.
Finally, I have been itching to make some more backend adjustments and thought I might as well take the opportunity to change the look and feel. I realize that now my blog looks like just about every other blog in existence and that, visually anyway, it doesn't offer much. I suppose it is that way on purpose. I like a very minimalistic style, lately, and so that is how it will be.
For those of you wondering (not that many are) the comments will still be run through the forum. I still feel that forums are a better way to continue and moderate discussions that any commenting system I could come up with.
To finish, I would like to let you all know that over the next few weeks even more changes will be made, but most on the inside. Look for better archive navigation and some other cool features as well.
