As I learned Spanish, occasionally I would dream in Spanish. Now, as I learn computer/web programming, I occasionally dream in code. These dreams are almost impossible to express in real-world terms, but imagine that instead of seeing real world objects, everything is "code." Almost like from the movie The Matrix, but not as cool.
My code dreams become especially prevalent and focused when I am working on a high stress assignment or job. In those cases the dreams tend to be very related to whatever problem I am trying to solve, though usually in a Tron-stuck-in-the-computer kind of way instead of a way that is actually helpful. For example, a few months ago I was making a Client/Server application in Java and I had several dreams about Client/Server relationship and process modeling.
Do other developers/programmers/code monkeys experience this? Am I the only one? Can anyone else relate?
